MELISSA TERRY fine art

“I paint flowers so they will not die.”

Frida Kahlo

“Every time I see a new painting by Missy, my heart jumps. The way she uses color, coupled with how her love of nature and beauty spill onto the canvas….incredible. Her paintings have the effect of a full nervous system reset and a warm greeting from a new friend, all at once.”

- Noelle Wilhelmsen, (collector)

About Melissa

Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains, Melissa developed a deep love for nature, delicious texture, and rich color, at a very young age.

After graduating from Brigham Young University, Melissa spent several years working as a Recreation Therapist at one of the nation’s top eating disorder treatment centers where hiking, snowshoeing, camping in yurts, and witnessing hope and healing from women from around the world deeply inspired her.

Several years, (and children!) later, Melissa has plunged into the life of a full time fine artist, and now delights in spending her days capturing the beauty of nature with her three favorite tools; a canvas, a rosemary paintbrush, and a rainbow of high chroma oil paints.

Currently, Melissa lives in Utah Valley with her chef husband, and five children
